In fact, almost everyone I talk to lately is feeling kind of "blah." While the title of this post is a <i>not so clever play</i> on the predominant colors of this chic New York City townhouse, it's the amazing art that re-sparked my interest in this feature.  Designed by <a href="http://elledecor.1stdibs.com/Kitchen-Eclectic-/id3569" target="_blank">Wayne Nathan and Carol Egan back in 2006</a>, the enviable collection in this home, includes favorite contemporary artists Damien Hirst and Donald Baechler, just to name a few. I wish I could be more like some of my friends and of course my children, that actually enjoy the whole thing...instead my Birthday just "bugs" me.  So, if you'd like to wish me a Happy Bug Day, I'm totally down with that.  In fact, I think I need <a href="http://rstyle.me/~bcfp" target="_blank">a framed copy of this print</a> for my office. Today, I happily have a few more peeks of the progress that we're making.  For starters, we've gotten some mirrors (like this Jonathan Adler one above) and some art onto our stark white walls.  Our new <a href="http://thezhush.blogspot.com/2012/04/obsession-du-jour-cheryl-maeder.html" target="_blank">piece by local artist Cheryl Maeder</a>, makes me smile every time I enter the room.  Speaking of smiles,  <a href="http://www.decoratorsbest.com/prod-z__Zebrine___Blue_White-217705.aspx" target="_blank">blue zebrine wallpaper by Rose Cummings</a>, now graces our guest bathroom walls and ceiling!  Beach inspired sconces, <a href="http://www.maddiegdesigns.com/love-these-moth-designs-sconces/" target="_blank">by Moth Designs</a> were hung as well, and we made a lot of headway in our children's rooms too. To me, this looks like <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chuck_Close" target="_blank">Chuck Close </a>meets <a href="http://www.vangoghgallery.com/influences/post-impressionists.html" target="_blank">Post-Impressionist, Van Gogh</a>.  But, if over pixelated images of famous paintings aren't your thing, (<span style="font-size: x-small;">although, they're my favorite<span style="font-size: small;">) </span></span>this company can create just about anything your heart desires.  From family portraits to a Delft plate collection, there are endless options and ideas.
