I had to run some errands in New Canaan, CT, this morning. Driving around on this dreary and gray Thursday, I noticed that all the local shops have already installed their Holiday window displays. Gazing at the sparkly window scenes helped to lift my spirits a bit. The party clothes with glitter and sequins had me thinking about disco balls. While envisioning a ceiling and dance floor of scattered rotating light reflections, I turned my radio up and listened to some classic disco. Instantly, my mood was improved! I think I am going to hang a bunch of mini mirrored orbs on our Christmas tree this year. It reminded me of a painting. I didn't have my camera with me, but I was able to capture this moment with my trusty I-phone (I love that phone). Even though the calendar is telling me we have several more weeks of Autumn left, it already feels like Winter to me.
