Dear Valentine's Day,
Even though I have known you forever...
and, I used to think you were cute,
lately, I'm just not that into you.
Sincerely,
Me

What's not to love about "LOVE"?

But, Valentine's Day?
I get a little ambivalent....
Forced holiday sentiments never sit right with me,
it feels too.... forced.
Martha, you are no help.  You make me feel bad about myself.
Every year, I intend to do the cute crafty thing with my kids...but I can't find the time, or energy...
(they want the Disney/Hello Kitty/Batman cards anyway!)

I'm also not that fond of the color red.
And, I try to avoid wearing dresses.
I'm more of a pants or "separates" girl...
But, if I had to pick a red dress,
I would pick this one!
And, that's where I have a change of "heart".

As you may already be aware, the red dress has become the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness.  I think this a great idea.  Heart disease is the leading cause of death in America. With February being American Heart Month, anything that reminds us (men and women) to take better care of our health, can only be a "good thing".
Right Martha?
